Today is Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday and it is also the second and last Inauguration Day for President Obama. How appropos that our country's leader should take office for the second time on the day we celebrate one of our country's greatest men! Although I go out and vote and keep up to date on the issues affecting our country, I'm not a terribly political person. I don't get into political discussions and tend to avoid them as much as possible. On such an historic day as today I decided to show a tiny bit of patriotism and dress in military style to honor my country. Well, that and the fact that I ran into this cute outfit at Gizza. Hope you had a great day today no matter what your politics are :)
This weekend was a busy one... casting deadlines were up, one of my agencies had a competition that I decided to participate in almost at the last minute and of course I wanted to do some shopping. On top of that I'm still recovering from the flu.
Along with my favorite haunts I visted a couple of stores that I have never been to before. I'm probably the last person on the grid to visit Drift, home of some great mesh at good prices. I indulged my addiction and bought up a couple of cute items there and of course had to change my hairstyle to suit. Here's what I put together.
And my closeup:
Top: Molichino Sally Turtleneck - Jet Pants: Drift City Pants - Latte Shoes: Redgrave - Keira booties - Black Necklace and Earrings: Baiastice Ishar Set - Gold Bracelet: Mandala Takara Bangles - Dark Wood

The second part of the casting calls for a minimalist look, which I happen to L-O-V-E! In my travels, I had seen an outfit that I thougth was perfect. One of my favorite mesh minimalist stores, NYU, put out an outfit that absolutely called my name. Perfect minimalist look, it would allow me to accessorize to my heart's content. This outfit is actually a mens outfit but it works for me, I think. See what you think?
This past week along with having a whopping case of the flu I've been putting together outfits for the upcoming Avenue casting. Styles were to be minimalist and new baroque/new romantic. Well, I didn't find anything I really liked for the baroque style and I think that had something to do with being sick. Nothing pleased my eye. I found a dress that I liked and styled around it. Below is the outcome.
